A perfect day for it. Not too hot, not too cold, not too sunny. A good crowd of us showed up and enjoyed ourselves.
The location at Moleside Creek Picnic Area was idyllic with the falls still running nicely despite the long dry period. The only disappointment was some weeds. Italian Buckthorn, Twiggy Mullein and Prunella vulgaris. There is also some kind of citrus tree at the edge of the car park but it never seems to have any fruit. A couple of eels just under the bridge. A great view of the river a short walk away.
Mick and Mardi’s odd seating arrangement is hard to explain. Maybe in honour of that weekend’s Head of the River rowing regatta?
