We respectfully acknowledge the Gunditjmara people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we volunteer, and pay respect to their Elders past, present and future.
Nelson Coastcare has a wide range of activities and our volunteers take on the jobs that interest them. We have some Activity Team Leaders who take ownership of an issue and report to the group when we meet eg. on litter, feral animals, weed control, citizen science, town gardens and birdlife.
We have Working Bees from time-to-time and larger group events like our annual Estuary Litter Cleanup Morning (and lunch!). But much of our work is done by individuals just quietly getting on with it.
We have been lucky to have had some terrific presentations and information events over the years and we are grateful to those individuals and groups that have generously shared their time and knowledge.
