The pile of mulch looked daunting before we started. In the end, it only took eleven of us an hour to spread it out around last years’ plantings. Thanks to Fraser and the Committee of Management for organising the mulch.
The tubestock we planted in July have done well but we won’t be taking the guards off until we get serious rain – something that somehow keeps missing us.
The Seaberry Saltbush and Cushion-bush are showing signs of rabbit attack. Hopefully, they will be big enough when we take the guards off to cope with a bit of munching. The White Correa are being ignored by the rabbits so far – hooray! Another tray of those we’ve propagated is about ready to go in and we can trial a few more species from our nurseries.
So… the next job will be preparing a new area to start on.
